How to remove the small cap of a stainless steel cocktail shaker that got stucked?

So not the cap but the cap of the cap... are there any tricks ?

This happens to mine all the time.

Put it bottom down in a bowl of ice cold water and let it sit for a while.

Heat a cup of water in the microwave. Dip the top of the shaker in the hot water for a little while then use a towel to take it off.

The heat will expand the top so it should loosen up. If you have one of those rubber pads that they have to remove jar lids, that helps too.
