Is it legal to drive a car with two passengers rear side windows covered with tape?

What if you do not see through? What if you see through? Is there a difference? I want to buy this car cheap and tape on the back 2 rear passengers, but I want to know if it is legal to drive this way or whether he would be obliged to replace them. Thanks so much for the help! Well, I've seen windows taped over and I'm pretty sure it is legal as long as they do not get to hell, as is clear tape or something do not use tape.
